Brian Block is a Partner at Freedom 3 Capital with over 20 years of experience as both a principal investor and hands-on operator. He specializes in partnering with family- and founder-owned businesses, bringing a unique combination of private equity discipline and operational leadership gained from more than a decade running global industrial companies. This dual perspective allows him to help owner-led businesses scale responsibly, professionalize operations, and navigate complex strategic transitions.

At Freedom 3, Brian works closely with management teams and boards to accelerate performance and unlock long-term value. He brings deep sector expertise in industrials, business services, and telecom, with a track record of helping businesses grow through operational improvement, disciplined capital strategy, and executional focus.

He currently serves on the boards of LION Family of Companies, Matrix, Ice Industries, Alaska Communications, and Mereo Networks, where he often leads or advises on strategy, financial discipline, and operational initiatives.

Prior to Freedom 3, Brian was President and Chief Operating Officer of WireCo WorldGroup Inc., a global industrial manufacturer. Over more than a decade at WireCo, he held multiple leadership roles including CFO, overseeing global operations, sales, finance, M&A, and ultimately leading the business through a successful sale to new ownership.

Earlier in his career, Brian was an investor at Fox Paine & Co. and an investment banker at CIBC World Markets, focusing on leveraged finance and M&A. He earned his B.A. in Finance from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.
